"15 Years of Leadership and Dedication to Achieving a Gang Free Florida" ____________________________________________________ Distinguished Guests and FGIA Members The Florida Gang Investigators Association was proud to have you in attendance for one of the most professional and aggressive gang investigators conferences in the world. FGIA Board Requests Your Input and Direction FGIA Membership, Once again, another year is rapidly disappearing right before our eyes and before we all know it; the holidays will be here and then we will be kicking off a new year. It is hard to believe that it will soon be 2009 and your FGIA will begin its 16th year. As I mentioned in an earlier message to you, your Board of Directors are always evaluating our current operation and comparing that to the needs of the membership and the State of Florida. Currently, I am reviewing every aspect of the FGIA and we will be developing a 2009-2011 2-year strategic plan. Developing a strategic plan is vital to any organization’s success and efficiency as it provides a road map to follow as well as provides us a way to measure and report to you, our successes and failures. As the heartbeat of this association, you (the membership) are what drives this association to its current reputation of being one of the most professional, aggressive, and progressive gang investigators associations in the world. With that, I would like to ask each of you what you like and dislike about what the FGIA is currently doing and why. I would also like to ask what you think the FGIA should be doing as a whole and then more specifically what you would like to see the FGIA do in your own region and/or community. Please be as detailed as possible and if you have suggestions on how to improve something then provide that as well. This also applies to things that you like that the association is doing as well. The more structured your submittal the easier it will be for me to review it. I look forward to hearing from all of you. Rusty Form Object
